Overview
The asthma market is currently dominated by inhaled corticosteroids
and long-acting beta-2-agonists (ICS/LABA), which represent
one third of total market sales. The leading drug combination
is Advair and Seritide, which are produced by GlaxoSmithKlein. These two drugs generated over $6.3 billion dollars
in 2006.
InflammoGen's BCP-1071 has the potential to be a breakthrough
drug in the respiratory drug market. BCP-1071 has been
shown to completely reverse the effects of asthma at all
levels and restore normal lung physiology and function.
Because of the known side effects of ICS/LABA, the proven
safety and tolerabilty of BCP-1071 significantly enhance
its potential and marketability. |
