Dr. Oh is recognized by his peers as “one of the foremost established and well-respected researchers in the world in the field of Insulin-like Growth Factor (IGF) system and human disease.”He has established a unique niche in the IGF field, which provided a new paradigm for biological actions of IGF binding proteins (IGFBPs) and made a possible connection between IGFBPs and human disease, in particular, inflammatory disease and cancer.
His pioneering work has attracted much attention and activity, not only from the IGF field but from other scientific fields, resulting in one of the most actively researched areas in the biotechnology field. Dr. Oh's key role at BioCure Pharma is to focus the company’s resources and direction. While asthma is the primary research and IP focus for BioCure Pharma, the company intends to explore other areas related to the IGF system and inflammatory disease.
