Mr. Lee has long been passionate about the welfare and well-being
of children and vulnerable populations and has held key management
roles in the areas of financial services, healthcare, and
public health. As a former environmental toxicologist and
public health consultant with the Michigan Department of
Public Health, he was instrumental in creating and managing
key programs to mitigate potentially hazardous environmental
exposure in target communities. In addition to his professional
work in public and community health, Mr. Lee served as the chair
for the Michigan Healthy Mothers Coalition and president-elect
of the Michigan Public Health Association.
During his doctoral work at the University of California, Berkeley,
Mr. Lee provided consulting for the Alameda Healthcare Services Agency
and the Pay for Performance Initiative in California in the area
of healthcare access and quality of healthcare, primarily in vulnerable
populations. After his Doctoral coursework, Mr. Lee took a position with
John Muir/Mt. Diablo Health System (now John Muir Health System)
managing a clinical service line and community health programs. Prior
to starting BioCure Pharma, Mr. Lee most recently served as executive
vice-president of National Production for WMC, a GE Money Bank company
where he led an organization of over 2,000 staff and managed over
$30 billion in revenue. His experience and expertise in strategic
planning, leadership and healthcare prompted him to start BioCure
